We’re pleased to announce that HBP has joined WATA (Washed Aggregates Trade Association), the voice of the UK’s washed and recycled aggregates sector.
WATA represents aggregate wash plant operators, equipment suppliers, and associated services across the UK, working to promote and advance the role of washed and recycled aggregates within the UK’s circular economy. As the industry continues to focus on sustainability and net-zero targets, WATA provides a united voice for a sector that plays a vital, if often under-represented, role in UK construction materials.
Joining WATA reflects HBP’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and our support for a stronger, more connected washed aggregates industry. We’re looking forward to engaging with fellow members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the sector’s continued growth.

Commenting on the announcement, Harry Barker, Managing Director said:
“We’re really looking forward to being part of WATA and contributing to an association that’s driving real change across our industry. Washed aggregates have such an important role to play in the UK’s move towards a more sustainable, circular economy, and we believe the best progress comes from working collaboratively with other operators, sharing knowledge, and pushing standards forward together. We’re excited to get involved and to help make a genuine difference in the sector.”
