HBP in the Community
We take an active role in the community with sponsoring teams and events.
Over the years we have taken part in many charity events, sponsored various sports teams and helped out with projects in the communtity.

HBP have been the main sponsor of music festival 'Askambury' since the first one in 2018 and it is a great day for the local community to get together and raise money for AUFC.

The annual 5k run around Barrow Park has raised money for local charities such as Salvation Army, North West Blood Bikes Lancs & Lakes & Animal Welfare Furness.

This year, one of our Project Managers Tom Butler took part in the Coniston 2 Barrow to raise money for Cancer Care.

HBP have been a proud sponsor of Askam United FC for several years. We have contributed to the upkeep of the ground and the renovation of the changing rooms.

HBP have sponsored Askam RLFC for many years from kit sponsorship to training equipment and we have also helped with the ground maintenance and redevelopments of the club.

HBP have also been a proud sponsor of the Shaws for many years of theri motorsport careers and are delighted to be a part of the sponsorship of the next generation of competitors.

HBP have sponsored Oliver Dilks since 2017 for Kart Racing where he has gone from strength to strength. He is currently competing in the senior kart racing division.

HBP were very proud to be back Luke Sprout for his 'No Limits' motorbike racing. Sponsoring him with keen interest since 2023.

We teamed up with a community action groups to work with local schools, allowing us to offer free school meals for children and pledge support our local community.

HBP has undertaken work for the Brathay Trust. We redeveloped a previously unusable section of the front lawn at Brathay Hall in Ambleside.

HBP were approached by a local community group who were redeveloping a once derelict area in Barrow-In- Furness, transforming it into a safe urban retreat for children.

From May 23rd Darryl Dixon aims to cycle from Lands End to John O’ Groats in 6 days. A distance of 1000miles & 520000ft of ascent.

In 2020 HBP helped save the Askam GP Surgery from closure. It was a collective effort showing what can be done when a group of people get the support of the community.

HBP have donated to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy appeal. A great idea and hope that our small donations made a big difference to many children at Christmas
